Jan 24, 2019Mr O’Connor was stabbed by another man in Fitzgerald’s Bar, Thomondgate, last Saturday night.Press 22 Patrick O'Connor was stabbed to death in a Limerick pubA post mortem was carried out on the victim’s body yesterday, however gardai said they would not be disclosing details of the autopsy for “operational reasons”.A murder investigation has been launched.As part of the investigation, gardai arrested a man aged in his 40s yesterday.The suspect is being detained and questioned by detectives at Henry Street garda station.Mr O’Connor is survived by his parents Michael and Jackie and three sisters.
